Ok...So i have my component set hooked up...was set using all flat on the deck (AVH-P3300BT)

30/40 on the HU volume knob. Set to see 100rms on a 1k hz wave.

Yesterday, finished up the install of new amp and 3 8" subs. Wired to 1.3ohm (can each do 300rms)

but only have them turned up to 600rms between all 3 using 30/40 on HU with subwoofer output turned on ....level +6 ..no bass boost on HU...80 hz frequency on subwoofer input all set on the HU...set to a 50 hz wave. (again flat eq) (loud on HU is off as well)

Now...I want to tweak everything to get the most out of the sound. nothing is turned up on the amp (audiopipe AP1500.1D) ..only the gain is turned up. It has bass boost, crossover range, and subsonic???

Should I leave all of those turned down besides the gain I set?

What can I set on the HU to get the most?

I realize I can still turn the gain up some on the amp to get another 300rms between the 3 subs..but for now I am just leaving them at 600. (the box is sealed so it doesnt get as loud as I had hoped for, but sounds clean with the music)

Any suggestions on what I can start tweaking instead of just the flat EQ and whatnot?

what does your subsonic filter start at? you should set it around like 25~26 hz and leave your bass boost alone, and your crossover is probably your lpf so set that like any where from 60 to 80 hz

Subsonic really doesn't matter with a sealed enclosure.

This... Sounds like you have the lowpass on your headunit set to 80hz for your sub, so thats good. Leave the bass boost all the way down on both the head unit and amp. Sounds like you pretty much have everything set up correctly though.

sounds good....what about tuning for the front stage? The crossover on those are passive...but I can set like the highs and lows etc up or down. What does a good sound stage usually sound like?
