yep. spot on. a 10F cap is tiny compared to the storage of a battery. i was at BatteriesPlus the other day and they have their own line of AGM batteries, one with a 120 min RC and a larger one with a 190 min RC. they were cheaper than Optima, and Optima doesn't even make a larger one. Looked like decent batteries. Odyssey is another good brand. You dont need the cap at all, you may like the looks but the someone that has knowledge about audio you will look like a idiot.. Get the 200 amp and good AGM under the hood and one for the trunk.
how it will sound is fully dependent on the installation. speaker in stock locations without treatments will sound a bit worse than stock. with proper seals and deadening it can sound great. install is everything - not always what is visible but what is controlling phase interference and providing proper response - i.e. aiming.
the gear your getting is decent. i like the new Type-R comps for the price. i'm not a fan of spending 5x more on bass than music though, i prefer the opposite, but my opinion makes up a small percentage.
what kind of shows? an 02 GT is nothing special. why not do this in a 70 fastback that deserves to be in a show? not dissing you, just surprised and curious.
