can you strap more than 2 of them together?

i want to run 4 on my 2 MT's, and im wondering if i have to strap them in pairs or what.

2 amps strapped to 1 load is the maximum, but you still can do 1 pair per sub and be fine

but 4 20's put out more power than 2 40's.

plus i already have 2 20's.

yea, just make sure they are outputing the same power and you should be fine

although you could try a hifonics maxxlink, not exactly sure how it works tho

well i guess that depends on who you ask. i put a quote recently on this site from Nick at IA saying that 1 40.1 is roughly the same power as 2 20.1's. now which way it swings, i couldnt tell you, considering i only had 1 20.1 in my possession lol

but yea. i only suggest the 2 40'1 for the fact that IMO, it would just be a PITA to try to fit 4 amps in a car.
