just wondering if anyone else is experiencing that popping problem with their amp? by popping problem i mean, like youll be sitting still in a parking lot and have your volume real low, like 25-30% up and your subwoofer is barley moving (by barley i mean you have to actually be looking at it to see the writing on it kinda move). then all of a sudden it just goes buump bump bump and stops. then bumps again. it sounds like its trying to play something but its just the rca connections. ive pushed my rca's harder onto the 20.1's rca terminals and the problem went away for a day and then slowly came back. ive read about this in other threads but the info was so gumbled up with a different thread it was hard to get any real feedback....

so like i said, is anyone experiencing this as well? seems like it might be a common problem. i alread emailed nick to see what can be done, cause its it super annoying and when im already having a bad day it pisses me off more than i have an expensive *** amp that like to taunt me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

I have 2.
No problems here.
yea i never had a problem until a couple months ago. then when i got it i thought it was a bad connection...changed all my connections, problem continutes i look online and found a few other complaining of the same thing. and i saw an IA rep tell them that the rca connections come right out and sometimes they loosen up (or something like that). the guy asked him if he should solder it in and he said no you can just push the terminal back in. but i dont want a temporary fix, i want a permananet fix. ive been hearing it do it everyday for a couple months and i just dealt with it. but its truly annoying

switch the rcas into the top two deals on the amp.
mine was doing that and that fixed it
what do you mean switch the top two? you mean pull them out and switch the little gold connection around? like use the strapping rca connections and switch them out with the signal input connections? also if thats what you mean, how did you pull them out, like with channel locks with tape wrapped around the pliers? i really dont wanna damage anything since i really do love this amp

take the rcas out, and put one of them in the top output and one in the top inut.

and dont put both of them into the output for strapping, i thought i fixed my problem then, but somehow it overrides all gain/bassboost settings ect so youll be clipping the hell out of it.

I believe I have had this problem with my 20.1 befor. My problem was because I had accidently yanked out the gold rca terminals for the rca's off the amp and caused the rca bridge connection to break off on the board. I had sent it in to Nick even though it was not under warranty and paid to get it fixed. Try to have something playing and wiggle the rca connections around.

no no i mean just switch the little gold rca connections around, not actually using the strapping rca's as an input.

i shouldnt mention i dont know if the little gold rca connections come out but i read nick said that if your rca cables connection is real tight that it CAN pull it out, so im assuming you can do it by hand.

I don't think you can do it by hand. My rca's were on really tight for the gold rca terminals to come off. Normally you should be able to clip it back on by pushing it back on but when I had yanked it off it broke the clip of some sort.

mind if i asked how much he charged to fix it? if its too expensive ill deal with it lol

i dont think switching the goldthings would do anything, i actually wouldnt suggest it b/c something might get fuxored up...

id just do what i said with the rcas for a temporary fix at least...pm nick on here (incriminator) or go to the website and his email address is on there. hes always been helpfull to me.
