I read on the RF forum that on daily music, the 40001bd will draw around 250 - 300 amp of power at 1 ohm( which produces over 4k of power) But it has an anl fuse of 500. Are RF Power amps that effecient compared to atomic 5000.1.
You are making the assumption that it is making 4000 watts on daily music. At 75% efficiency with 300 amps @ 14.4 you would be looking at around 3240 watts. It would have to be 92.6% efficient to make 4kw at 300 amps input current. Class D amps typically don't attain that level of efficiency at low impedance loads.
If this amp is 92.6 efficient at 1 ohm, then I want one.
