ive got a cd player that only has 1 preout and i have to have an amp for my front stage. im getting a system sometime this week and i wanted to no if the 4 channel amp kits only have 2 rca's to put into the preouts or 4.

Where did you find a 4-channel amp kit? I've never seen one, but I'd assume that they have 2 pairs of RCA's (4 plugs). You should just get one RCA cable, and buy two y-splitters.

could i do this: i have 2 sets of rca's run from my amp. could i just slice into one of them and put them together?

i dont want to buy that stuff if theres another way to do it

The only way you could do it, is run one set of RCAs from your HU and plug one plug into the front channel on your amp and plug the other plug into the rear channel.
