well you said you seen custom dashboards made out of wood? and ive never seen that before, i always tthought they were fiberglassed or whatever it is

If you cut out a stock dash its most likely steel/wood/plastic with some stuffing to make it soft, wrapped with leather or whatever ur car has.

dude. if you want to 'duplicate' your dash to make a new one, your better off finding a junker at the local yard, and taking its dash, then using plastic bodyfiller and building off the ABS base of the dash.

what are you actually interested in doing? you never quite explained the purpose of doing this.

Yes, you've seen it. It gets painted or finished in a fashion that hides the fact that it's mdf

i just want to expirement to see if i could do crazy things with fiberglass.

maybe put a lcd screen, make the stereo whole smaller, put and ipod holder idk

yes, go try and locate a junkyard with your make\model\year

steal its dash for your expierment
