i WAS excited to get my new amp today until i opened it up.

Well if that is the case, he probably spent like 200 or less on the amp at a pawn shop. A lot of high end audio stuff sometimes shows up at pawn shops and they don't know how much to ask and usually guesstimate.
So not only did he screw you on a bad amp, even if it worked, he just made a hell of a profit off you...........granted that amp would sell for a pretty penny from someone that knew what he was doing.......which this guy did. Sucks mang, but like a few people said, I would have just did a chargeback on the card or contacted your bank ASAP instead of Ebay or paypal. To much shit to go through. Now you will be waiting for sometime.

Good luck!

Oh and it is guaranteed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
i agree, the profit he made im perfectly fine with and dont blame anyone for trying to make a few bucks. the thing is that he said guaronteed 100% working and not doa and i feel he was just trying to get as much as possible out of it by not saying that there was issues with the amp and felt he was covered by saying no returns.

and as for not calling my bank on the issue, i didnt because paypal would just put me in the negative what my bank charges them and would get me nowhere. if i didnt do alot of transactions through paypal i wouldnt care but i do so thats why i went through paypal.

I don't know how you guys deal with paypal and shit. I did that for 1 year and it was 1 year too long!

I do nothing but MO and 9/10 times ask them to ship their product first or I won't ship till I get MO. Is so much better IMO. I have been burned twice by paypal for stupid reasons and them favoring in the seller..............pissed me off, because I had to pay for two items to get fixed, which one was over a 100 dollars. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Also if I knew I bought an amp that could have been had for a couple hunderd smacks, I would be pissed..........even though there is not much you can do about it. But it would eat at me.

Whoever told you that is incorrect.

I sold a amp on ebay, and had the buyer pay with paypal. Then say the amp was bad filed a report.

It was 100% working as I pulled it from my car, packed and shipped it.

He emailed me saying it was bad. I said ok he could ship me the amp back and I could refund his money. Before doing this he says no and wants to get the amp fixed so he ships it off. Files complaint with paypal and ebay.

So in the end he got his money back kept the amp and supposedly got it fixed. I was lucky enough to use fedex they covered without much hassle.

It sucks to have sold something working then have a buyer say its bad and he still keeps the "bad" amp and gets full refund.

I hope you get your money back.

I was reading this whole thread and man that really sucks.Im glad it all worked out for you though.

I would however like to add a little story because I really f'ing hate those MF'ers over there at Paypal.I know its long but please read this and post my story where ever you read or hear about Paypal BS!!

I sold a RF amp in perfect working condition on Ebay.I was using it daily and took it out the day I shipped it.After shipping it and the guy recieved it,he left me positive feedback saying"Exactly as described. Thanks for a great deal!!" A week later I get an email saying it doesnt work properly.I of course told him there was nothing I could do.It could have been something in the install,I wasnt there so I dont know.So after several emails we couldnt come to a conclusion and he was pissed. Two days later he filed a chargeback with Paypal. He won the F'ing claim. So,I appealed and of course lost. Here's my problem with the whole deal.Ive been a registered member of Ebay for 11 years with over 200 positive feedback.I had been using PP for several years as well.He had been on Ebay for 6 months with 5 positive feedback and only a few Paypal transactions. So even though he was new to Ebay and PP and left me the positive feedback,he still won and F'ed up a Paypal account I had for years.I refuse to put money in that account to cover the chargeback. They can all F'ing die there at Paypal.

Im sorry for the rant and thread hijack.I just think this stuff should be heard about Paypal. They only care about the buyer.Heres my suggestion.Go out and buy stuff, use it,break it,and then file a claim.Odds are you'll win!!

Crispy.

Just out of curiosity sake, I wonder how much it would have cost you to get it fixed.

Glad it all panned out for you. Good things come to good people imo. Keep your chin up you will find one eventually and in even better shape then this was was claimed to be in!
