Yes I was defiantly a good boy because I got exactly what I wanted, for Christmas I got not one but 2 Adire Shiva Subs and a JBL 600.1 BP amp and all the stuff to make my box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif and man are these subs bad as hell when I sit in my car with these things turned up a good bit it literally hurts my chest and also while sitting in my drive way I was playing some kind of techno bass cd and my dad told me to leave it playing and come inside I WAS SHAKING PICTURES ON THE WALL BIG TIME! And all this is in some crappy MTX box that I just borrowed from a friend soon I will have my new and much better and bigger made from scratch 3/4 in. MDF box and I am told that it will make it much louder.

But there is a down side to this gift because I am so stupid not to even think about my weak 75 amp alternator about 7 miles from home or something like that at all my lights shut off completely for like 3 or 4 seconds well I get about a mile and a half from getting home and my car is really about to die I have to hold it to the floor just to keep it going at all and as soon as I have to let off to turn off the road up a hill it dies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/help.gif.cee8f684da1ba626487a8bc51152e1ec.gif luckily my friend is following me to my house and all we have to do it charge the battery enough to get me home well after that me make sure it wasn't just a short and its not CRAP! we think it is probably the alternator and Auto Zone of course confirms this for me absolutely no juice coming out of the alternator at all none //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bawling.gif.6287aa5d1d447c8af063fc9466e822ef.gif crap oh well I guess that means I have to get a new alternator so we buy a 95 amp alternator it wasn't too bad I guess $121.99 maybe this one will last if not maybe I will have to add another battery or alternator

And of course if anyone has any suggestions they will be greatly appreciated

The JBL 600.1 doesn't draw too much current, so the 95amp alt should be just fine.

i think something else is wrong with your ride, a 600 watt amp shouldnt have that drastic of an effect on a car. Maybe the Alt. was just falty period.

well the alternator was a 75 amp alternator and the 600 watt amp you are refering to has a 57 amp current draw of course this is the max but I had it almost up all the way

what kind of car is this? i'm assuming the 75amp Alt. is stock. I'm runnning a all stock elect system in a 90 honda accord and have a mtx 1501d amp and mtx 9512 sub and do not get the battery kill that you did.
