Hooking your speakers to 115v will make a smell, but wont likely produce flames. The coil wire will melt and short out the coil very quickly. You'll get some cone movement, then a smell. Id say even getting $10 for them is worth more than that show. *shrug*

To a 2 ohm load a 220 line will give you 24kW until you trip the breaker which would happen really quick.

A 110 line will give you 6kW @ 2 ohms and again trip the breaker.

Wire it all in series to get the impedance up so you don't draw too much current or blow them one at a time.

4 ohms

220V=12kW

110=3kW

8 ohms

220V=6kW

110V=1.5kW

Use a really beefy extension cord.

ok, im not gonna sue anyone... i was just wondering if i hook up my 400 watt max shitty RF sub to a 2400 wattrms amp will hurt my amp if any way. They are some old shitty 10 inch subs so i wanna blow the **** out of them for fun. They are cosmetically damaged already so i dont think i will get much money for them, rather blow the **** out of them!!!!

I can't sell them!! I had 2 10s in a box under my headrest on my bed.(sounded so tight id be watching a movie and have bass coming from right behind me....try mount subs under the headrest of you bed...sounds nice) anyways i spilt orange juice on them, the extra pulpy kind too, and didnt know. so a few weeks later when i took them out to put in the car i notice the 1/2 inch layer of molded OJ on the coneof the sub, tried to scrape as much off as i could.BOTTOM LINE... CANNOT SELL THEM!!!!

thats why i wanna blow the **** out of them.

So whats the bestway to blow them up???????????

If i were you i would go to your friends and charge admission to see them go up in flames. My friend bought some cheap geo metro and then some guys payed HIM $50 to just flip the thing over....trust me...people will pay you to see these go booom (literallly)

are u serious?? if u really want to i would sell them to you... they sound fine but just got a glob of old OJ on them. They are 2 10's old pioneer 400 w max. i also got 2 10" Pheonix digital 800 wat max ( dunno the RMS on any of the subs), and a 10 " 400w max Rockford Fosgate. They all are in working condition and the 2 pioneer got some OJ.
