Most of the subs you mention aren't sq subs. Ia Dp, hdc3, fi bl don't fit my needs. I'm pretty sure they sound nicer than the Rs, but sq still is the priority

Why not get the Eclipse TI's that are for sale in the classifieds? Lots of xmax, and sound clean. Plus the guy selling them is in Canada. They will want a little more power than you have though. Mine laughed at 1.5kw.

If not, and you still want to do the 18, I would second the Maelstrom X. The guy that designs exodus's equipment used to do Adire audio. Great equipment.

Considered an RE XXX? they take a shit ton of power, they aren't SQ subs But they sound a hell of alot better then alot of subs labeled for "SQ"

They are VERY expensive though.

You're gunna find out that alot of the best SQ Subs are gunna be hard to get in an 18, mainly cause thats stupid

I've got two RE SX's 18's in my jeep right now. Sound quality is always subjective, but they're "ok". They dont take gobs of power or anything.

They certainly arent like my regular monsters I run.
