ever consider two SQ 15's sealed? would have more output then the 12's or single 18 and could still have amazing SQ with the right drivers...

Hypnotyze start real low till 26 sec. Then it start hitting 50-70hz. I know thatWhite girl sound nice on some part but weak on the lowest 28hz ish part. Trust me white girl move a lot of air but then it goes real quiet.

Same thing with Put on. most of the line sound well, but the lowest one **** hard on the Rs

That might be what you need to do. The low note in white girl is like 31-32hz iirc. The lowest one in put on is like mid-low 20's. Have you considered a pair of MJ's sealed? They sound great and will hit those lows, but will need a different amp cuz you'll have to run em at 2 ohms, a kx1500 would be good (or just underpower them and they'll sound even better, but not as loud). They'll also do well in about 3 cubes a piece sealed, and are cheap.

With 5-6 cubes, get an 18 that does well sealed, and seal it. Or don't do an 18 at all.

You dont have enough room to do an 18 right. Seal it, or go with a 15.

What makes a sub sound better than another one? flatness on freq? anything else? clarity between bass line?

I want a loud lowend 20-40 hz. The rest as flat as possible. I might be going sealed but porting it low would be nice too (hard to choose)

Like at the beginning of hypnotize from jeezy the first line before "class is session" sound like pure crap on the type R. From youtube cheap quality video it seems like most 18 do that part with strengh. Once it get the the high notes the type Rs rocks but their aren't consistent (oes that word exist in english?)

I say get yourself a nice 15" woofer that you would like to try (after reading up a ton) and go with that. Will take up about as much space as your setup now.

I just put in re sx 18 in the rear hatch of my vette. ( like last night )

box takes up all my rear space. its rediculus.

still have to play with amp tuning + head unit settings but its crazy so far.

box seems small for this sub, - after sub disp. and port volume

box is like 5.4 cubes for the sub, ( re recomends 5.5 to 8.0 for it )

sub up - port up at the rear. -

Ok i guess i'll be more open for suggestion.

I just check my HATCHBACK trunk and there is more space i tough at first. I can get like 2 inch lenght and 5 inch deep and maybe 2-3 inch more height. Well when i first bought it I did consider the trunk space and that was a nice step over my geo metro trunk

That could like really nice with some trim panels or just by fiberglassing it instead and using a couple 6" aero's...looks like garbage like that tbh
