Ok, so I'm looking mainly at good SQ speakers but also would like to get decent loud, and while checking around with specs on various subs, I noticed that there are two different types of ratings for SPL. Some manufactures list it something like:

SPL: 1w/1v - XY

other list it something like this:

SPL: 2.83V - XY

Of course when different manufactures use different ways to messure the specs, it makes it confusing, But am I comparing apples to oranges here, or is there a way to convert one to the other?

is one way just kind of like a metric rating or something?¿?¿?
