2nd Battery - ?

- Not sure which, but my lights dimmed on my old set up... RF 500w Prime pushing a Memphis 10-PR @ 2ohm Volts dropped into 13.5v range at times.

This is for an every day set up. Just used to drive back and forth to work. 20-25min Drive at most.

Plans to run the SA-12 D4 at 2ohm from the amp rated at 900w @ 2ohm. Given the volt drop and SA's underatings... I'm all good correct?

Looking at a little under $400 total (-) the Box. Which I plan on putting together myself.

Thinking of 4th order, but open to suggestions. Want to keep it pretty simple and get some sound into the cabin more.

We'll u say SA 12 but un posted link for an SA 10"... But get a d2 and wire to 1ohm and get more clean power from your amp, set gain proper and u won't blow ur woofer and it will be louder then if u wired at 2ohm.

My bad, fixed the link....

Will it draw more amps from my Battery/Alt..? My lights Dim now with just a 500w set up...And I can't add a HO Alt. Due to the Dodges Computers. I did double my Neg Battery Ground and the Car already has 1/0 Power from Alt. to Battery. Will the extra Battery fix the lights dimming at either choices above?

I just want a daily reliable set up. I don't want to over work an amp or Sub and shorten their life span.

get yourself the big 3 upgrade.

U can get an HO alt on the car. Others have done it. And do the big 3 and yea do a 4th firing thur deck lid

RUMOR is The newer LX cars like Chargers Challengers and 300s can run a HO Alt but the computers cap the amp output, so it does no good. We have tested it on our forums. I can run another 1/0 from the alt to battery and have 2 running.

I believe an external regulator bypass might work, think I did read that some where.

i have no idea man i have not even dealt with my own stock alternator upgrade yet...

i believe that you can purchase alternators from dealers such as singer and DC audio or mechman, and lastly J's ultimate alternators.

and those alternators will have external regulators included upon request. most of those places are good about doing research about the specific car you tell them you have and they will figure out a lot of the electrical mumbo jumbo.

Box Size... One Sundown SA-12 4th Order Blow through Rear Deck

9.75x18x16 sealed section at 1 cube net and a 17.5x18x16 ported section at 2 cubes net. One 5" aero @18" for 35 tuning.

Looking for another Amp just in case I can't get that C2...

I want something that will push the SA-12 with some Clean power. Was looking at a Hifonics BRZ1700.1D, 1200w @ 2 ohm

Want to stay around $250 Range. The BRZ leaves money left over for Sound Deadening or what ever.
