Ok, so how does this broke *** kid afford a 400-500 dollar amp? I have the GT 24 hooked up to the Z6's and used to have one hooked up to 2 Orion HP12.2 and easily powered them, its one hell of a beefy amp. If you think one cheap bb sub can take that much power you're mistakened, even if the gains all the way down, it won't last a month, i'd give it a few hours at most. Once again, either sell the amp and buy something that complement each other, or just forget about it all together.

So im new to audio like most people know and i blew my subs because my amp was just to big! (boston acoustics gt-24 900 watts true power in mono) and i have been looking for just one single 12 inch sub that would be cheap because i am a 18 year old with a minimum wage job and no hours! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif. So I figured id just go to best buy and check out some subs and figured hey ill buy a cheap sub and just blow it up in another month and then get a new one haha. But i think i found a sub that will actually last its the Insignia 12" 1800 watt peak power 600rms sub. which i didnt know that insignia is power acoustik and thats there old fubar series so for 85 bucks for a 600rms sub im going to give it a try. Which im also having them install it at best buy and i kno everyone will be mad but im new and i just rather have the guy install it and make everything run just peachy again and im going to get it installed with a warranty and have all my probs with the amp solved for 140 bucks with it installed him reinstalling the amp checking everything. You guys also must realize im not a big audio like you guys are im just getting audio out of the way for my car so i can move forward in the more performance section. I will be changing the way my system is setup though and clean everything all up.

So the cliff notes are... you bought a mediocre sub from a big brand store, they are installing it for you, you aren't really doing anything, you dont know jack and dont much care, you are just getting this 'out of the way' so you can focus on things you presumably care more for.... and you just had to run to the car audio forum and tell us.
You should sell your story to a movie producer.

insignia kinda sounds alright. its just not a thick sound, and its clear enough for the average joe. it gets the job done i think. the sub i think is good for those that just wants just a system. my friend has some insigs from BB
