whats worse than it not being legal is the current drug laws in our country.
I think drugs are not good but to give some one 10 years for 4 1/2 ounces of coke or 20 years in the feds for 24 ounces of meth automatic or 12 years for 50 pounds of weed is crazy to me. Its not good to sell drugs but to take someones life away for doing it is crazy.

I know guys who got less for murder than other guys who had drug cases.

If we put them away for 20 year shouldnt a child molester or ****** just go straight to death row? Rapists and molesters get 3-7 years for destroying someones life.

Our drug laws are a big reason that we have the worlds largest prison population.

Yea imagine sitting in the middle of church or a crowded area and lighting one up without getting arrested. I personally dont smoke it but yea...I got a couple friends that would enjoy that lol. I used to smoke ALOT, then I stopped because I needed to get my chit together. Weed does make some things take a litle longer to achieve but, It all depends on the person. I have ton's of friends, hell, even my father-in-la, smokes out occassionally. Bro-in-law smokes everday and he is one of the most "on the ball" guys you will know. he always has things in check.

One thing I agree with is that there should be an age limit and at that the restrictions should remain the same. Likewise the same rules should apply with alchol. no smoke and drive, no public intoxication, no soliciting with out a license. No smoke on the job or prior to coming on shift, And I think employers have every right to fire your *** if you fail the drug test. SImple rules. You know that the price would be way cheaper than the street value, and you would not have to call around to find the high grade chit you require to get high. Some people can get blazed off crappy buds, but others like my bro-in-law have been smoking so much, they pay $25 a small joint that would kick your *** into a coma. With all that said, I think it will be a long time before weed is legal. and if it is, i am sure Obama would shoot it down.

They don't legalize it and tax it b/c this country is still run by old ideals, prudes and church folks that believe you will burn in hell for smoking it....among other things.

I don's smoke it but all this money the govt is wasting trying to prevent it from being brought in and sold is just stupid.

what makes you think the government would legalize it to get someone ****ed up? people bring up drinking. but did you ever hear the saying ''drink responsibly''? thats pretty much saying drink to have a good time with friends and this and that but dont get ****ed up. if the government legalized weed, they wouldnt be putting some potent *** strains out there in stores. you have stupid logic. all of you have stupid logic when it comes to this. you all think it would be like opening a door and saying come over here where weed is now legal. no. you would constantly have even more people being arrested for going over the limit. why make it legal? i wouldnt want to work a job where everyone is high and cant even do their own work because theyre too relaxed and shit. its like an example of minimum wage. you have people who worked hard all their lifes, then minimum wage rose and now people who have their first job are making as much as people who worked 5-10 years etc. same with weed. all these people went to jail and shit, legalize it, and you now have millions of innocent people in jail. if you wanna smoke, ****ing dont get caught. if you cant handle not getting caught, you shouldnt even have marijuana on you at all.

there are negatives to legalizing weed, all of them have an impact on the user though. research shows that marijuana can cause cancer,(what cant though) an od on marijuana is possible but is not life threatening(more of an anxiety attack with the possibilities of hallucinations. I say legalize it the get more money in circulation and devolp an opportunity for more jobs. if regulated similar to alcohol I think weed would be a gold mine for companies.

I think the main reason why people want it to stay illegal is because while it's illegal people view it as something wrong to do. If it's becomes legal people will think oh it must be fine to do since it's legal. Just like alcohol. People think it's fine to do because it's legal. A lot of things are harmful if used improperly. There are people who can drink in moderation and not act like idiots and jackasses. Just like their are people who can smoke weed and not go out and act like idiots. I don't do either though because I think both are a waste of time.

And the reason it shouldnt be legalized is most kids always drink before smoking cause its not legal So it prevents some kids from abusing weed. And I don't think kids should be smoking before like 16 they all would if it was legal. SO I think it should stay how it is get good shit from a friend of a friend that grows and its not too expensive. No one needs to smoke over an 1/8th a week and if you want to, you just have to have a job or make the money that can afford that. I don't think It would be cheaper legal.

I don't see why not. Most of these dumb shit kids do it simply because its illegal and they feel cool doing it. If it were legalized, its "cool points" would probably go down.
