I have a DVC 4 ohm but it has 4 sets of positive and negs. on it. To achieve a 2 ohm load would i hook all of the positives together then run one wire to the positive on the amp from one post and likewise for the negs. or am i missing something?

I hooked up my PG Ti12d Elite to my buddies 600 watt alpine amp and the thing had an A$$ load of excursion but made very little to no sound. Im thinking either i had the wiring wrong or it was under powered or a combo of both.

Please help me

if its DVC, it should have 2 positives, and 2 negatives, not 4 of each.

ps- i was in York/Lancaster pa last week //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well it has a pos and neg at 4 corners. so it would be......... pos/neg...... pos/neg...... pos/neg..... pos/neg.

I thought i just hooked all the pos together and all the neg together and run on wire from one pos and one neg to the amp.

I cant find a schematic anywhere on the internet for this design

then you have quad voice coil, not dual.
what is your exact sub?

and if it is quad 4 ohm, and you have + + + + and - - - - you're @ 1 ohm.

Dude, you cant really TELL ME what my voice coil config is, im here to TELL YOU what the config is. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Its a PG TI12d Elite, its DEFINATLY a DVC 4ohm and i DEF. have 4 sets of pos and neg at 4 corners of the sub.

Im pretty sure the newer Kicker CVR is the same sort of set up but i dont remember too clearly

im not telling you anything man, im just saying the subs ive seen that are dual voice coil, only have 2 sets of (+/-)

the ones ive seen with 4 sets of (+/-) were all quad voice coil....thats my .02

the worst part is there is a wiring diagram sticky at the top here and the **** pictures dont work so i cant figure this out.

Im pretty sure it shows this schematic in there
