Diamond D310 Box Question

I'm getting three diamond d310s and I was told to put em in 3 cu. ft. at 45 hz. 45 seems high doesn't it?

Yeah that doesnt really sound good at all. I am sure they recommend it for a reason, but for linearity you would want a 2.3 cube box tuned to 31hz. according to their specs and bassbox 6 pro.

again, i'm don't know much about ported boxes, but 2.3 is smaller than the sealed box suggested size and isn't 31 hz a little low for 3 10s? sorry to doubt you, but i just wanna make sure.

2.3 is a little low, and at 31hz you will lack on the high end but slam the lows.

I would recommend 2.9-3.3 cubes at 33-35hz.

ah i thought you said 2 tens... for three it would bee..... 3.25 cubes same tuning 31hz. No tuning isn't affected by the number of drivers. You aren't going to "lack high end" either. Frequency response above tuning point is uneffected by what the tuning point is and is only effected by the driver's rolloff itself, or the amplifier's rolloff if using a class-d and it rolls off before the driver itself loll.

31hz should be your reference tuning point. If you want the tens to be able to hit the lowest notes they can, tune to that. If you want highest output, tune higher, but know that under whatever frequency you tune at, you are going to lose output like crazy.

i think ill go 3.25 cubes (after displacement) at like 33 hz unless someone thinks thats a bad idea

actually go figure, i called diamond and they said this box is the optimal box for 3 ten inch diamond subs...

now my problem is, my trunk is narrow and and my box can only be about 36-37" wide MAXIMUM....

soooo....what would you guys do?
