My very first sub wasn't a single sub.

It was a Kicker all-in-one prefab that was labeled as a Kicker Super II (the older folks on the forum may or may not remember those)

Had a pair of Kicker 8s front-firing bordered by a pair of Motorola horn tweeters. It was designed to sit up at an angle on a pair of "legs" that came with the enclosure because on the bottom of the box was a pair of downfiring 10" passive radiators.

On a 75 + 75 watt Yamaha amp it didn't sound too terrible for a novice's first foray into having a real substage included in their setup. (bear in mind this would have been the summer of '91 or so)
