I need thin material.

Well, the headliner in my old Buick is starting to fall down. I was just wondering what color of material would look good in there?

The original color is tan, as is the whole inside of the car.

So has anyone here bought a cheep THIN material that would work good with spray adhesive, that won't fall down?

i would just go to your local local cloth shop and buy headliner material...kinda expensive tho.

but it is pretty thick material so I didnt know if it would stick

pull the HL out, get yourself some contact cement, and suede it.

i belive just the fabric. I was going to remove it, sand it, spray adhesive new one on.

a got my kit at wal mart. had it for like 5 yeas and still no problem. it was like 14 dollars. and I have not done the headliner yewt

use spray on contact cement. It's about 12$ a bottle but worth it. Dont use that cheap walmart shit either, use the stuff at the fabric store. You can use any material really, hell you can put fur up there if you want.

ive done about 20 headliners over the years. You'll screw up on your first one, count on it.

Go there, check out the colors, and request a sample. I got a few samples for my Grand cheroke, and the material seems to be great quality. Moderate but sufficient padding built in.

I used a carpet that was thick as shit for my headliner, Elmers spray adhesive worked just fine
