If you get a good lawyer who is known in the courts (and outside of them) then its a hell of a lot better chance then the convict talking straight to the judge. All that money doesnt just go towards your lawyer, i can assure you there are "gifts" and "dinners" that come into play. Its called politics.

Yet thats not how you got out of your sht, you got out of it because your cop didnt show up. I think its retarded to represent yourself, especially considering what you are up against. I would personally throw every fcking dime i had to make sure id keep my *** at home instead of on a cold mat.
