I need peoples opinions

OMG NO WAY!! This has never happened. The kid is a dumb fuc k end of story.

He buys a sports car with almost 200k, and I will assume with very much confidence he beat the **** out of it.

100 miles ? na it was messed up when you sold it, and thats probably why you sold it, as is or not you still gotta make it right...!
If he was worried, he wouldn't have let three people drive/test out the car, before he had cash in hand.

That kid bought a sports car, he beat the shit out of it and broke. His dad should have had enough common sense to talk him into a reliable car.
Agreed, and they should have researched the vehicle type for reliabilty and common failures before they bought it.

either way he bought a 17+ yr old car with 181k on it. he should no hes going to run into problems. it sucks that it happened so earlier in his ownership but thats the risk you take with cars.

The sad part is I even told him that. I try to be as honest as possible when I sell something. I told him it needed rear brakes and so on and so forth. I was even nice enough to tell him that parts cost an arm and a leg for that car.

I had a similar issue with a mustang I sold. Got a letter in the mail over a month after I sold the vehicle with an estimate for repairs and such. The estimate was obviously back-dated to a couple days after the date I sold them the vehicle. Letter was telling me to pay three quarters of the estimate or they'll see me in court....

I never replied. and nothing ever happened. tell the kid to go screw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

ya don't worry about it. just make sure you save the bill of sale that he signed stating as is , in case they try and start something.

Yea I made sure I kept it. Man am I glad I wrote up a bill of sale. This is the first actual car ive sold. And it just might be the last. Ill just go for the trade in at dealerships from now on.
