Go around to mom and pop shops, they aren't assholes like big companies.

Here is what I came up with:

You work 2000 hours a year (50 weeks times 40 hours a week, x $8.65 an hour = $17,300

Worst case scenerio you make, say a dollar less an hour. so 2000 x $7.65 = $15,300.

So $2000 less a year worse case...I'm not sure what benefits you have now, so also weigh that into the equation.

full medical and dental for 300 a month... and i am diabetic so it helps but the wife will have benefits with her new job.

Yeah, as long as she's raking in the cash, the loss of an $8/hr job isn't going to hurt so bad, and is easily replaced.

Go for the opportunity. You gotta look out for your best interests because no one else will. If someone offers me 2 cents more an hour I'm gone.

Work is a business arrangement pure and simple.

If this boss found some one willing to do your job for 5 bucks less you'd be gone, Same principle.
