I know it's not much, but I just spent $3500 on a TV so this is going to have to work for a while, LOL. I wanted to know if theses anything I can do to get a little better bass/low end out of this thing. Would getting a sub, and making a box help any?? well most people will tell you for budget go to http://www.partsexpress.com and type in Dayton 120....best bass for your money

go to parts express get a plate amp able to do 250 watts RMS @ 4 ohms for just adding a lil bass that will fill the bill

hell my sub is pretty dang loud for my tastes

then you can pretty much choose what sub you want hell i have the very amp i stated above and it pounds the hell out of my 12'' type s [wired to 4 ohms of course] then get any dual 2 ohm or single 4 ohm coil sub.

throw it in a ported box tuned low [ mine is at 1.5 cubic feet @32 hz] it will sound good for movies and music

Wire the "receiver" to the plate amp using the high level (speaker wire) inputs...

It wasnt by choice. I had a decent tv and when I got the audio 3yrs ago it was good for the tv I had. Well now my tv took a dump. So I figured I would buy a great tv, and then later down the line I could do better with the audio. But to be totally honest, this system sound good for what I use it for. The only time it's on is for movies. Mids/highs are great, but the low ends leave something to be desired. About $175 max. I have an RL-i here that i'm not using. Thats why I through it in there as the sub.

I would give it a shot, just build a ported box for it and im sure it would work decent
