I need Exploder dimensions

I'm getting an explorer in January and I need the dimensions of the cargo area/ trunk / behind the 2nd row of seats. It's an 02 or 03, the last generation explorer.

44.5wide, ~19-21" to top of back seats. ~35-36 deep

somewhere in those ranges, i know its 44-44.5" wide, the biggest ive had back there no wall is 12cuft net, i wouldnt really want to go any bigger, now i have the floor pieces taken out and a false floor put in, you could take the floor out and get ~2" extra height if needed

if you look at my ava, i think that is 33sh deep, you can the extra room before the door, i have learned that there needs to be a good sized gap between any ports or subs and the hatch, kills lowend

mine is a 04 2row

Is the 35-36 inches deep total without the room for the port to breath into consideration?

36" is total from back of seat to rear hatch

you need to specify which explorer. Mine is the xlt and its 41" wide from wheel wells, 21" to top of seats, and 36" from seats to rear door.

It is the limited version. It's the past body style, the squared off one. Either an 02 or 03.

mine is an xlt also, but i went without the upgraded system, and its 44.5wide

my box is 19h and 30d so you can use that for reference

im going to assume the limited has the sub in the back, so it might be different

It does have the sub, but it only makes the top part of the panel on the right stick out a little bit more, but doesn't change the width I do not believe. Thanks for the help guys.

Bama do you have deadner? How bad are the rattles?

not bad at all for me.

I own a 04 (3rd generation) Explorer and there isnt any rattles for me............ yet...lol

I dont have any deadener in the Explorer.

Ya, but what subs do you have?

I will have a 21"

id be lying if i told you there are no rattles, but it isnt that bad, fire it up, not at the back hatch and you should be good

i have my roof deadened so it helps alot with a BAD roof flex noise i used to have, maybe it was my truck but at 36-38hz it would sound nasty, finally got it fixed though
