I Need Bass!!

I put together a list of the different subs I want and Im trying to narrow it down, but I cant decide. I listen to mostly Rap, Rock(Metal, but others too), various other types. I like bass, crisp clean deep bass that hits hard, Im looking mostly for SPL and SQ if I can get it. Its going into a 05 Civic Sedan daily driver so space is a issue, Im thinking one 12 ported. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Subs

Kicker L7

Kicker CompVX

Alpine Type R

Alpine Type X

Hifonics Atlas

I.A. Death Penalty Series

S.S. RL-P

S.I. Mag

R.E. XXX

Thanks for input //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Do some more research. The subs you picked are so vastly different there is no comparing them. It's like if you said, I want a car, which would be best for me.

1. beetle

2. Porsche 911

3. Hummer

4. Ford explorer

5. Dodge caravan

Just as those cars are very different so are your subs! Box requirements power, capability, SQ SPL, it's all over the place. I'm not trying to be rude but it seems like you threw just about every sub people on here tend to pop a boner for and put it on your list.

The only sub Ive heard in person was the Type R and the CompVX and that was in circuit city, the rest were subs the people have told me about. Im leaning towards the RL-P because of the power and enclosure requirements suits my limitations. The price is pretty good and the driver is the same as a TC9.

I fit a 4.5ft^3 in my little civic, so I'm sure you'll be able to pull of something similar due to your vehicle's similarity to mine.

You really won't get a good feel for those subs in a place like Circuit City since most of them are put into prefab boxes that are shit. They usually aren't powered that well either.

I'd say you answered your own question right there. They are all nice drivers, no bad one of the bunch. Just pick what suits your needs, wants and bugdet the best.
