I need an alt, what do you prefer?

Dcpowerinc.com give them a call and be done with this they have an xp alt that will 200 amps at idle.

Excessive Amperage did me right. I'll go back to him without hesitation when I need an alternator again. Have't tried others, but haven't heard bad things about any of them.

i got a dcpower alt for my civic and it works fine. build time took longer than i was expecting, but it works flawlessly. nate at EA does good work and is a good dude. he helped me even though i didnt buy the alt from him. i hear both sides from mechman customers, never had one myself from them so cant say. my next one will either be a EA alt or another dcpower.

this is the first "which alt?" thread I've seen that didn't just turn into brand bashing

Usually people praise and trash each brand...I'd just make sure I didn't buy some off-brand one and you'll probably be fine
