Im trying to put in a aftermarket stereo system in my wave and im not having any luck finding a trigger wire to hook up my sub and amp.. ive been on numerous websites that shows the wiring guide for the wave and beside the trigger wire it says N\A and read through my owners manual and got nothing... its very frustrating.... HELP!

YEP! here is the problem bud, the switched wire your looking for is non-existent...why? Because GM had the brilliant idea to run this thing called a CAN-BUS system in their vehicles. What actually turns the radio one with the key is a little purple wire called a Class 2 Serial wire, it sends actual digital data instead of voltages which renders it virtually useless to people like us...DO NOT CUT IT! There are a few options...easiest I have found, if you can find the ignition wire, it works for things like remote wire for amps really well, there is also this wire located SOMEWHERE in there called an RAP wire, usually larger gauge Yellow wire buuuuttt...good frickin luck finding it.... if all else fails you can usually tie into a fuse in the fuse box that comes on with the key...or you can buy the effin expensive wiring harness that actually decodes that data wire and gives you switched power....good luck man
