I Need a Receiver and Plate Amplifier

Hey guys.

I need a receiver with 5+ inputs (Video switching is not needed), a subwoofer out, and the fronts can be highpassed around 70-80 hz. Currently I want to run just a 2.1 setup, but in the future I might want to upgrade to 5.1 or something.

I was looking at the Sony STR-DG500, mostly because I like Sony amplifiers. Any opinions?

I also need a plate amplifier that I will be using for multiple projects over time, but initially I'm going to be powering an IDQ 8 in 0.5 cubes. I should definitely leave room for improvement, so I was thinking about doing a 500w plate amp and being careful with it, and then I could go bigger when I move out.

For this I was thinking about either the Bash 500W or Dayton 500W at PartsExpress, but the Bash is out of stock and the Dayton seems like a steep price.

Any help on this will be appreciated.

The only decent Sony is the ES line, anything else is crap, dont bother
