There's just too many options. I was leaning towards the RL-ps for a while, but then I started thinking they might be too much SQ and not enough SQL / SPL. I want something that's pretty punchy in a sealed box (Yes I know theres not really such a thing).

Then I was thinking about the FI Q 12, since I've heard so many good things about it.

And then theres the SI BM 12".

Well.. What do you guys think? I know you've seen a million of these forums but still..

Around $250

SPL with good SQ. (So SQL mostly).

Still has pretty good SPL in a sealed box ( ~ 1.5 cuF).

Should I stick with the RL-ps and just order them, or what do you guys think?

I like bass that'll give you a good massage, but not the bass that the person driving next to you pulls up and feels a crazy vibration..

I'm leaning towards the x600.1 for the amp, so a sub that'll handle around 700 RMS.

Yea search...I've seen tons of bm/rlp/q thread of wait no I havent //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif. Doubt many if any have had the chance to compare all three //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif.

IMO, ya can't really go wrong with em. So..... just do this....

Write each name on a piece of paper

put em in a hat and draw a name

Then put some time or money (or both) into figuring out the perfect enclosure for you and the sub

Build it

Open a beer and enjoy your work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif no body ever considers exotic subs anymore

Like Monacor, ESX, Caire, Accoupower //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I can tell you from personal experience the RL-p is NOT punchy in a small sealed box. But I can also tell you, the RL-p is a really nice sub in a ported box!

Really? I was thinking about a ported box the other night, I just don't know if I can sacrifice enough room. It's going in an extended cab ranger, and I want to keep 1 of my jumper seats open.. Think I could port one with 2.0 - 2.5 cuF?

Or rather.. would a BM or Q do better sealed?

I guess my best bet would just to wait on the 12" test to go down.
