The bad part about this place is there are a lot of 14-18 year olds that don't know their *** from a hole in the ground. I just saw a thread on an alt company where one was saying it was trash. I have built 8 hotrods with the same company's alts and currently have 2, one has been in for 2 years the other 12. A lot of good info on this board. But a lot of kids as well.

Ya, for sure. I was hoping someone who knew what they were doing would be able to give somewhat of a review.. I can't bring myself to spend 350-400 on 200 amp alt if this will do the job...

Well I am 38 years old and have had a system in every car I have ever owned starting at 16 years old.

I do not see how I do not know what I am doing at this point in my life.

I would have to say that unless your pushing a true 1krms+ then there would be no need for a big alt if your stocker is in good shape and puts out about 100amp. If your having problems with that much power or less, then I would look at the condition of the alt and battery.

Cant expect a old alt and battery to maintain voltage to a decent smaller 500-1k system. A good 100amp alt and a agm battery or 2 will do great. JMO, Russ

Actually that would be an upgrade compared to my stock 105amp in my 99 truck lol.

They have a 200A alt for my vehicle but it's the wrong year, ffuuuu

I am currently running a true 1,900 RMS so I do think that an alt upgrade was quite necessary.

If that was a reply to me, wasn't pointing the finger at anyone on this thread. Just a little pissy with the mommy and daddy are buying me a sub for Christmas so I'm an expert types. Been into it a little over 20 years myself. No doubt I can still learn something from some of the young guys here. It just seems lately you have to sift through the BS and forum boners to actually read a decent post.
