Ok, so I am new to car audio just to let you know, and that everyone has to start from knowing very little at one point. But, here is my questions:

I just bought 2 IDQ subs that are dual 2 ohm. I also got a jbl 600.1 amp and a r.f. amp wiring kit. Now in the kit, it came with 2 different types of speaker wire it seems. One is a large bundle and the other one is small. They look like they are both the same wire, except that one bundle, it has 2 of the same wires connected together. You can pull apart the two wires where they both still have insulation. My question is...which wires do I use for my subs?

My other question is. Where do I find the place to plug my amp into my HU? Do I have to take my HU out of my dash?

Last question: Is it ok to mount the amp on the sub box? Thats just about the only spot in my car it will fit.

Thanks very much and sorry I am a noob.

What kind of head unit do you have? There should be two or three sets of cables and RCA plugs coming out the back of your head unit - one for front speakers, one for rear speakers and a subwoofer out. Plug the two-channel RCA's from your amp to the sub out's.

Do I have to take my HU out of my dash?
Yes.

that's speaker wire!? hook up the sub to your amp with that.

The smaller bundle of wire is most likely the remote turn on wire that goes from your head unit to the amplifier.

Is it ok to mount the amp on the sub box?
Perfectly fine.

Oh, nice setup BTW...I'm sure you'll be happy with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

hope this helps.

Thank you so much! One more question //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The smaller bundle of wire is most likely the remote turn on wire that goes from your head unit to the amplifier.
What does that do? Am I able to turn the amp on and off from my HU? Or does it turn on my amp when my HU gets turned on? Or what...?

haha. Thanks. Now I think I am going to act sick so I can go home from work and go install it all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I have one last question. Back on the wires...

So I am going to use the bundle that has the two wires stuck together. Can I pry them apart and run a wire to each sub and then plug both wires into the amp? And when I wire the sub in series, do I use both the wires, or do I need to seperate them and have just 1 wire running.

Here is how I am wiring everything:
