i have $1000 just for subs

It's in his 1st post....
Wanted to be clear because MANY say that they have $1000 in "subs" when they truly mean sub stage.
$300 subs

$200 box

$400 amp

Install fees...

Guess it depends on his depth of experience in car audio.

Which reminds me...gotta order some 1/0 weld wire and get another battery, along with battery terminals. Time to increase my voltage.
look at these i just got in, i hope these will solve my keeping factory wire problem.. mclerico showed them to me and u like knu stuff (u may need reducers to use more than 1 0 ga run though) https://www.ebay.com/itm/KnuKonceptz-Ultimate-Battery-Terminal-Pair-0-4-8-AWG-w-OEM-Top-Post-Port/380857442286?epid=2254486805&hash=item58acdf5fee:g:MUYAAMXQEgpTGAC3:sc:USPSPriority!27330!US!-1&vxp=mtr

its nothing really new dual is an ok brand for the time being but my fam is more into sound quality my mom runs 2 10" IDmax's on a 1000 watt amp and her bf runs 2 IDmax 12" on a 3000 watt amp in a costume box so i should be able to have his friend build me a good box but I'm a lil on my own when it comes to finding SPL subs but he knows what to do when it comes to the set up he has a xs battery and a mechman alternator i just got the duals with the car when i bought it so i use them for now and i would much rather have some nicer subs

i can instal it with my fam my dad used to own a Audio shop before he passed away and he thought my mom everything he knew so me and her and her bf should have no problem setting it up

Two sundown X12s B stock $734

Taramps HD8000 $550

HO alternator $400

50' of welding cable $150

4 G31 UPS batteries. $400

70 sq foot of deadener $125

wood,screws,glue $75

Bam. That $1000 just turned into $2500.

what i currently have is the brand dual witch i don't find a bad but i really don't think is good
sorry to say that stuff is beyond garbage. Wait till you hear a properly done setup. even a single 8 inch sub will destroy your two dual 12s.

dual is not an okay brand, not even at the least bit, its the lowest of the low that no self respecting audio guy would touch even with a 10 foot pole.

You could buy 2x 12" DC Audio XLM2's for that price point. But like these guys said, building a good box is key. These subs destroyed my old $200 prefab box and I had to get a new one built by Cody Johnson (DC Audio Rep at the time).

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...

That’s the little single 6.5 inch enclosure. The Savard did just as well as the RDS. These subs do well in ported or 6th orders but not as well...

Look at the Alpine Type S subs.
