So maybe someone could help me

i **** at stuff like this but i did figure out using the formula in the tutorial that sqrt(2*750) = 38.6 volts i believe

Ok i turned down my gain all the way and played a 50hz test tune on my head unit about 3/4 the full volume

then i disconected my positive and negative speaker cords

and then i put the red in the positive hole and black in the negetive hole and turned my gain up.. trying to get my voltmeter to get to 38.6 volts

i FAILED

i got a little confused because the tutorial on this forum shows a 2 ch amp.. i only have a 1ch with only one negative and one positive terminal

maybe its becuase i dont know how to use this stupid volt meter

so heres a picture.. can someone tell me what holes i put the red cable and the black cable and what setting do i put this volt meter to

Black should go in COM, red should go in V next to it. Set the dial to the V~ section, 200 volts. If your still not getting a reading try measuring a DC battery (change it to the other V section, 20volts) to see if the wires are good.
