After recently buying another new to me bronco that came with some audio stuff to install, I remembered how much I like car audio. I am now ready to build a nice clean system.
You guys have been more than helpful in helping me figure out my previous crap, thanks again.
Now let me tell ya what I got in it right now.
I have an old Premier HU, JBL 12 sub, soundstream 300.1 sub amp, Premier GM-6150F amp running Kicker 65.2 components. It finally sounds decent. All of this is installed in a 92 fullsize bronco.
I mainly listen to old school rock and old school rap, with more on the old school rock side.
With the new system I will be keeping the kicker coponents and maybe the gm6150f amp.
My first purchase will be a headunit, but have not settled on anything yet, it needs to have support for my android phone as well as built in BT, and 3 rca's with atleast 4v, would prefer flip down face wtih all inputs in the rear. Looking for somthing in the 200 dollar range.
Now for the subs I am thinking either 2 10 or 2 12, or one badass 12, they need to be a minimum of 500rms. I want to build my own box and has to be sealed, because in the summer my top is never on, and sometimes I get caught in a downpour. When I build my box it will also be sealed on the outside from the elements as well.
Now for the subs and amp I would like to stay in the 400 dollar price range, with the HU not included in that price.
Also on the sub box it has to be able to be bolted down, not only for theft reason, but also when I am out wheeling, don't need some 200pound box flying around. Curious how most people mount the boxes.
Also looking for a place to get started on building boxes.
I also found this on CL the other day. Seems to be a pretty sweet amp, so maybe I could throw that in somewhere in the install.
Mark Antony MK 400.2 car amplifier - $60
RMS Power: 150w x 2 @ 4 ohms
300w x 2 @ 2 ohms
600w x 1 @ 4 ohms (BRIDGED)
1200w x 1 @ 2 ohms(BRIDGED)
Hopefully that should be thorough enough to get a good idea of what I am after.
Thanks again for all the help.
