HT setup HELP :)

Can you solve it?
So I'm stuck guys. I've been looking at receivers and HTIB for about a week and can't find exactly what I'm looking for. I need a decent receiver (at least 90X5) 5.1 or higher, HDMI (MUST MUST MUST) 1.3 revision and at least 2 in 1 out. I wouldn't mind getting some speakers with it but they will only be a short term solution until I either buy higher end or build some for myself.

I want to spend 350 on it.

Any suggestions? I've been looking at Sony, Pioneer, Onkyo, Denon, Marantz, Yamaha.

If you have one for sale, super....but if you have a suggestion for a good setup let me know as well.

If I can't find a whole setup, I'll just buy a decent receiver (I can get the Pioneer 1017 for 319) and just bring 3 of my Bose Cubes from upstairs down since I only use 2 of them and the sub.

Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would avoid HTIB solutions, unless you can get one at a killer price.

On the HDMI connectivity, do you want the HDMI output just for switching or do you need it to convert other sources to HDMI. Usually your lower end models will only have passthrough support.

You say you need 90x5, just like car audio, a lot of the lower models inflate thier power numbers.

I used H/K recievers and polk audio RTI series speakers & a SVS subwoofer for a kick arse HT setup. I sold everything because I am moving and will be using new gear along with in-wall speakers.

I highly suggest polk audio rti speakers, most importantly the CSI5 center channel.

Just get a receiver that does what you need. No sense in buying speakers you don't plan to use...
Well I would use them for awhile. If I bring the bose downstairs I will have no substage until I put a box together for it.

I'm trying to save some cash but get as much at once as possible. When I say short term on the speakers...say at least 4-6 months.

Thanks for the reply though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
