Kinda Old School
Building a system for just listening to music. Ported to 30hz. Figured I'd be in the safe zone there. Anyways, Show in the road.
I need : Box Design, To know what I'll need for wiring, tons of input on mids/highs, anddd for you tot ell me how big of an idiot I am. Also - receiver. I need a receiver that I can control the sub output by remote, somehow. When I'm listening to country or something and we're not partyin it up, I dont want the house flexin. Any cheap designers in the house for HT?
Two towers powered by just these two amps. I am too **** poor to buy another sub amp, or I'd break some shit.
Okay, here we go
Amps:
Substage Amp

Highs/Mids Amp

All right, no clue what I'm going to do for a receiver. I only need a CD player(maybe a 6 disc but not really a big deal) that can control this shit.
For Subs, I wanted four 12's, but considering the amp situation and my willingness to only buy one amplifer, one 15 per tower will suffice, as long as its LOUD ENOUGH??
So far, this is what I've come up with:
Not a whole lot of shit. Want to keep it cheap, relatively.
Two 15 L5's
Two SD2.5 15's
Or what I really want to do and am considering doing is trying to force Steve from RD to build me two 18" Classics. Just for the hell of it. They'd take the 500w rms and thrive I think.
Suggestions? I really want as much bass as possible, I'm still a basshead no matter where I go.
Now for mids/tweets, thinking either two tweets and four mids per tower, or doubling it up. Not really sure.
As of now, I'm looking at these for my mids.

And these for my tweets

12x60w rms is tons of power for highs/mids though, so I should be able to do all I need.
All help, is more than welcomed.
Ideas on subs? Cheap as we can go but being reasonble, same as with the highs/mids. If the Daytons are honestly the loudest, clearest, and most dependable speaker under say 50 bucks a speaker and theyr'e only 15 dollars each, Recommend it. Cheap, but loud and clear. I'm assuming Dayton is the way to go.
Who builds that 12 Channel? I want to say Dayton does but, then again, I'm an idiot when it comes to HT.
