Hows this set up sound?

Hey guys i waz just wonderin how u think this set up would be in a 95 camaro...I got 2 MTX 8000 12"s powered by an Legacy 1600 watt amp...the amp was w/the left over cash so i just got a cheaper 1 still 200 dollars tho..n i got a Pioneer DEH9400 cd player...that sound like a good set up?

lose the amp, put the 8000s into a nice sealed box, and your setup will be good enough for you probably...

if u dont hav e enought money for abetter amp i would suggest buyin some cheaper subs so u will have enough money to get abteer amp ...legacy is sextremly overated.

no i like the subs..n the amp puts out enuff power 2 give the subs all the pound they need...

yea but theres no telling how long it will last tho ... i might be wrong but ive heard alot of bad thigns about legacy an i havent had any good luck with them either...

How many watts can the Thunder 8000's take continuously? If it is 400 like im thinkin they are then you might want to look at a Profile CA1200 or CL1200. JBL 600.1, or some other good amp like these if you are on a budget. The Profiles I mentioned both put out their rated power and put out exactly 300x2 watts rms at 4 ohms. They put out 410 watts rms at 2ohms per channel. When they are bridged at 4 ohms they put out 900 watts rms. The JBL put out 300x1 rms @4ohms and 600 watts rms @2ohms. They are also underrated so your lookin more toward about 375 @4ohms and about 750 or so @2 ohms. It is also a class D amp so it will put less of a strain on your electrical system then the Profiles which are Class AB.

600 watts each would power them quite well but out of that legacy amp you may be getting 300 each.
