if you are going with sq build, i think you should invest in some sound deadener, build your own box or pay someone, get better component system for the front, leave the rear with the stock speakers or no rearfill. whats your budget btw and what car do you own?

for $1000, you could get a decent sq build. But an sq build is only as good as the install!

no need to pm. Other people here might have better suggestions than me. anyway, i think you should not bother changing your rear speakers. keep them stock or no rearfill and use that money towards a nice front stage component system. People on this forum been raving about the Rainbow SLC line component system. Personally i never listen to them but from what i read, they are exceptional.

You should also buy some sound deadener for your front doors where the component system will be installed. As for the headunit, there are plenty of decent ones available for you to choose. IMO, i love my pioneer premier m680p before i replaced it. Maybe look into that or other pioneer headunit.

as for the box, do you have tools to built your own? if so, then just build your own box. i believe materials should only run you about 50 bucks from what i read on this forum.

For the sub, maybe you could look into an image dynamics idmax 12 inch. i have heard one and they are mighty good.

box - $50

sub-idmax - $250 or so

headunit- $200 or so

front stage - $200 or so

sound deadener - $100

sub amp-$200

frontstage amp - $150

installation, misc items - 50

total-$1200

its a bit over budget but you could cut some cost around the build such as the headunit and sub.
