how to wire for future upgrade

Hello all,

i currently have two amps mounted all wires connected except power because i just got it

Stinger 0GA w/300amp inline....what do i do next?

**Future upgrade later will be to add a 2nd AmericanBass ph4000md and run both @ 1ohm

1 AmericanBass ph4000md.....to be run @ 2ohms (for now)

Rms at 1 Ohm: 2000 Watts

MAX at 1 Ohm: 4000 Watts

If you are going to add another amp I would be thinking about wiring for an additional battery if you don't already have one.

The front fuse protects your wire not amps. The fuses on the amps protect the amps

Fuses inherently protect the wire. Amp protection is a by-product of that. Unless you're talking fuses on the amps themselves.

hello again,

I did as instructed i connected my two amps w/ 0awg primary

from battey ---250a inline----to-----distro. block [150a/80a] ph4000md/pdx-f4 respectively---out---4awg to both amps. Now when i start my car the battery is dying, it barely starts. What did i do wrong? Never had any issue until right after i added wire.

FYI

Stock Electrical. Car fairly new. Music plays once car starts.

Is this a factory hu? Aftermarket? What are you using as a remote amp turn on? If you're just running a new run to the amps from the batt it shouldn't be killing the batt. Did you check for voltage drop with the car running and system full tilt?

this a a factory HU, and i use the 12 v ignition at the head unit for remote amp turn on. I did not check for any voltage drops. don't have equipment. But i did something else....i took off the 150a fuse @ distro. block. leaving only the 80a connected. Car started as normal. what do i do from here? any other suggestions.

ok so i replaced my inline w/100a...and unfused my bass amp....car starts as normal
