How to conceal 0 gauge wire

If you have to worry about the gastank leaking or blowing, then running the wire under your car is the least of your concerns.
completly true but carpet is tried and true. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if ur gas tank blew up, i think u'd have bigger problems than just ur system.

Properly protected, you have nothing to worry about there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

if ur so worried about debris under ur car, run it on top of ur car. then its nowhere near the ground or the gastank //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

LMAO! i can just see it now, 16 and 17 year olds driving around bumping and having red power wire going down the car like racing stripes!

i have installed 1/0awg wire in three different cars and so far have never had to drill in the firewall or pull up any seats, i seriously don't know why you guys make this so difficult.

Find the stock grommet where the car's wiring goes through, then cut a little slit in the grommet to allow the extra room for the 1/0awg. please be sure not to cut any wires. I have found that adding the ring terminal to the end of the wire then pushing that end from cabin to engine compartment is easiest.

Afterwards with just a little planning then 1/0 can be run along the side of the car like any smaller power wire.

i would never spend a whole day running a power wire (i understand the deadening part though), 30min my way and it is done.

i wasnt talking about 'just running power wire' i was talking about running ALL the wires (rca\rem\power\ground\whatever) - and deadening while your at it.

making it all neat and tidy is worth the extra effort and like 20~30 screws ya gotta remove for the interior to come out. in the end - you wont have any wires sliding out from the carpet or trim panels, and your car will be nice and stealth.

but under the car works fine with some watertight grommets and some flexible protective tubing... thats most likely what im going to do in my next car.

How about running four runs of 6 AWG wire instead? Same basic current capacity, and it's a LOT easier to run four 6AWG wires than a single run on the big stuff... Usually cheaper, too.

But it'd be a pain to shove 4 6 awg wires into the same fuse point. I tried fitting twin 4 AWG wires into a 0 awg, and it wasn't a perfect fit.

Plus it doesn't look too good under the bonnet.

i did understand the sound deadening point, but i was talking about all the wires as well. in all three cars i had new HU, comps, 2+ amps, and subs, and wires/RCAs for all, all of it was installed completely unseen and tidy without removing the seats.

If he doesn't want to deaden the floor (which he hasn't mentioned yet) then there is no reason to go through all the effort.
