How to conceal 0 gauge wire

common sense. take your car apart (seriously) and run the wire under the carpet you ripped out in a depressed channel (i know there are some in every car)

run it where the rest of the stock wire goes. it will take a you a solid day to do a GOOD wire install, but trust me. its so worth it if you spend the time and take it all apart (specailly if you put some sound deadening down while your at it) and run the wire the right way.

Run it under the vehicle instead of through the vehicle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif

Seriously, this can be done safely as long as you keep the wire properly protected and secured, and IMHO it's much easier.

Im thinking this might be best. Any pointers? I figure to put split loom tubing on it, and use ties to keep it off the exhaust, engine, etc. Then a simple hole in the back of the car, to bring it in, sealed with a grommett around it. Should that work? Also, where can i get the grommetts for 0 gauge?

Yeah, go ahead run the wire under the car. Have fun replacing a 30$ wire when it gets eaten by salt, or a stick that happens to be cruising on through.. Role the carpet back, drill the hole IN THE FIREWALL run the wire. Cover it, be done with it. Do it the right way man.

I used automotive heater hose (like what's under the hood of the car) for protection in my buddies truck. You can get it at any automotive parts dealer (Autozone, etc). The stuff is great.....it's thick rubber with in-laid string, so it's very durable and will easily protect the wire. Plus, being heater hose, it's relatively heat resistant. Then used some of those screw-down metal wire clamps to secure the heater hose up out-of-the-way under the vehicle. Turned out real nice IMO. Wire was very protected and secured, and it was relatively easy to do. I also clamped each end of the heater hose to prevent water from getting in there.

id wire it in the car, cuz if ya make one mistake on the out side you could be paying for it later. yea i know the same can be said about the inside, but carpet relativly easier to replace than metal.

I think gastank is way more tough than carpet.

If you have to worry about the gastank leaking or blowing, then running the wire under your car is the least of your concerns. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Ive seen plenty of people run their wire under the car. when me and my friend put his 98 Gmc on bags we ran wire for his swirches compressor and all sorts of stuff under the car. just cover it in some split loom or hose then zip tie it up. usually you can find a grove or something to run it in under the car.
