How should I run my subs?

I have a Rockford 200 watt 4 channel amp and 2 MTX 200watt RMS,4ohm dual voice coil 10 inch subs. I am going to run the amp 3 channels, 2 channels to my door speakers and 1 bridged channel to my subs. My question is, should I run just one of the subs or both subs in series?

Sadly, the amp only has enough power for one sub at a 4ohm mono load, if you series the 2 subs you will have an 8ohm mono load and your power output will be very low.

Hmmm... I was told that if I ran the subs in series off the one channel it would be a 2 ohm load and my amp manual says I shouldn't go below 4 ohm load with the mono channel.

"I was told that if I ran the subs in series off the one channel it would be a 2 ohm load"

No your getting it mixed up, parrallel will give you the 2ohms, series will give you the 8ohms.

Uhhhh, yall are forgetting about series/parallel wiring.

Dual 4ohm subs can be wired for a final impeadance of 4ohms

This way you would have a 4ohm final load for that one channel.
