How shitty was your first system?

sony 10" xplod sealed box, sony xplod 2/1 amp (140 rms bridged) 4 jensen 5x 7's and a jensen hu, still got the sony stuff sittin in my house. one week after install i had to upgrade, it just wasn't enough...

Well....

2 12" Visoniks in a prefab bandpass box

600watt Visonik amp (package for subs and amp)

Dual double flip face CD player (Ugh, I'm ashamed of this. I got a nicer JVC a couple months later cuz the dual died.. go fig.)

I actually thought it was decent.

I had the subs for a year and a half, but upgraded to a slightly larger Rockford amp that put out 250rmsx2.

Eh, I've learned a lot since then anyways, and when I decided to get another sub/amp it'll be quality stuff (RE, Fi, etc)!

maybe the same one i had. black carpet, plexiglass front that shows the cone peice of the woofer and it says JENSEN across the plexiglass

Mine was an FM converter attached to the bottom of my dash with sheet metal screws and wired to the AM stock radio in the dash. Added an 8 track, was so big it mounted on the ****** hump with more sheet metal screws. All was spliced into the front door panels...no saw to cut out the door panel holes so I used a hammer to bash the opening large enough for the speakers, don't remember the diameter...then spliced to the Kraco 4" wedge speakers screwed to the rear deck. All this ran off the AM radio power and was hot wired so the car did not have to be on for the system to work.

Oops could not forget the book of matches to hold the 8 track in place so it did not skip.

This was in May of 1972 a few months before I turned 16 1/2 and got my license.

What a piece of crap system but it was mine and I loved it.

2 pioneer 10's in a box made out of particle board, in which had some holes. This with Best Buy Pioneer 4x6's in the dash and 6x9's in the rear. (Jeep Wrangler)
