how many speakers?

hi, im new here and i trying to see whether i sould put component speakers into my 94 del sol. I was wondering wheter all i need, speaker wise, are a set of component speakers and subs, or do i need to get another set of componet speakers or other normal speakrs. Also, what component speakers to u guys reccomend? Thanx.

1 set of components and as many woofers as you want. Rear speakers arn't nessesary. If possible get 6.5 inch components. 5.25s are fine, but they can't play as low, and it will seem like the bass is coming from behind in your car. 6.5s will keep some of the bass up front. Polk audio used to make nice speakers. Mb quartz, Diamond audio, Infinity kappa, Boston acoustics, JL audio.

A 2 channel amp is fine. Unless you wanted to biamp them.
