Hey,

I just ordered a new system for my Mazda3:

Alpine cda-9857 HU

Alpine MRP-F240 4 channel Amp

Alpine Type R Sub 10'

Alpine MRD-M605 Mono Amp 900 Watt

Polk DB570 Speakers

I just want to know how many RCA cables is needed to set everything up, and how big should I have them? I want to put my amps either in the trunk or under the passenger seat. And since I have 2 amps, do I need to order 2 amp kits, or is 1 enough?

Thanks..!

you need an amp kit with a distrobutiuon block and then 3 sets of RCA's

One pair of RCA's for every channel. The front speakers are one and the sub is another = 2 pairs. Why do you have a 4 channel amp with one set of components??

I will connect the amp for the Front and Rears.. and The sub has its own amp.

Ok, pretend I have zero cables, just the equipment.. what would I need?

How many amp kits would I need? does RCA's come with the kit? Should I just get this, and this will get the job done for everything?

what type of rca's do I need? just the standart 16 ft rca cables? 2 male, 1 female Y?
Yes. They come in several lenghts. I have a Protege5 and it's about 9' to run them underneath the seat. If you are putting the amps back in the trunk, then you'd need the longer ones. Standard RCA's have 2 male plugs on both ends...that is what you want.

I'd just get 3 sets of standard RCA's. I'd run 4-ga with a inline fuse (guessing 140AMP) from the battery into a distro block (unfused block). Then, run 2 8ga out. 1 to component and, one to sub amp. Run the grounds. Done. As for the REM wire you can run a single one from the HU and loop it from amp to amp.

I am running the 240 also. Great amp!

Ok, here's what I'm going to order:
