hewwo,

my name hewo again.
i would like ask you what variable resisitor rheostat potentiometer to get if i have fan that say 12V DC 0.13 amp. I plan to use spare computer power supply. If i have this fan and I plan to splice wire to hook up directly to power supply, what OHM resistor do i use to control the speed of fan? ten q very much

this fan will not be going in a car it will be for a personal project of mine. would like to control computer fans with computer power supply by using variable resistors.. know a better and cheaper way?

why the fuk would you use a resistor??? the power supply has a 12v feed... the fan is rated at 12volts... the fan will only draw what it needs... no resistor needed

btw every power supply has a 5v output as well... if you really want to u can hook it up to that
