I have one from a year or so ago... I went through Wachovia, and they have excellent service for their student loans. It is processed automatically through the school, and my check usually took about ten days to process. (Pretty quick for a student loan....) However, some universities have preferred vendors through their Financial Aid Dept. and do not let you choose your own providor. You should check with them first before shopping around. I have some through suntrust while in school. When I finish, I will consolidate them through direct loans.

If you're not looking to get a loan, why ask? Anyway, I have my loans through AES-American Education Service. Great customer service, both online and over the phone.

Ive heard good things about teri.org and as far as choosing a lender Wachovia seems to have the lowest rates.

Suntrust (Stafford), I didn't have any problems whatsoever with them. They paid all fees on time, and I paid mine back (still paying).

Sallie Mae sucks effing ARSE.

Total liars, they are full of shit and will try to manipulate, lie through their teeth and ultimately are one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with.

Seriously I have hundreds of thousands of dollars in students loans with Sallie Mae, and I would ABSOLUTELY find any other company you can possibly find to deal with when it comes to student loans.

i got about 20k in student loans. My mom mostly takes care of it for me. but when im not attending school its like $57 a month and very low interest.

So you are probably one of them people that send in your credit agreement, proof of enrollment, and proof of income like you should, and make sure it meets the requirements before you send it in. So when you fax it in we just process it for you and get you a disbursment set up.
