any baseball/softball guys out there?

hi my stepdaughter is interested in starting softball this year coming and im wondering what a good starter glove would be to get? im hoping she will want to stick with it throughout the years, so id like to get a good glove to last at least a couple of years..if u have one that you have used or have experience w/ please let me kno, thanks...by the way she is 10 and is rather big for her age, if that matters any, i dont know if they come in certain sizes or what..thanks guys..

Personally, I used an Easton glove throughout my high school career. I'd say go with Easton or Rawlings.

I say just go to sports authority or something and let her pick out a glove she likes and fits well.

At that age she is going to grow out of it in a year or two and there is always a possibility of losing it.

Yea @ 10 years old she'll grow out of that particular glove in no time. I'd go w/ something simple like a rawlings, easton. Mizuno makes very nice gloves but you're probably going to fork over a little extra cash. I'd say Mizuno would be your best bet overall in a price vs. performance/durability scale. Mizunos my personal favorite but I have used all so therefor my opinion is un-biased.

Get the gloves with the bigger net part. The ones with the smaller net are for baseball. I believe it's 10-12 for baseball 12+softball (they should be arranged by size). What I'm saying is, don't get a glove that a softball will barely fit in.
