how many of you guys do this?

cool, one sec.
But check out the barstock at stormcopper.com

That's where I got my copper for all 4 of the busbars in my car and it's good stuff with a ton of selection.
i will take a look at it right now...so like two peices is what i would need

The front battery..

Rear batteries..

http://www.caraudio.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=10045&catid=member&imageuser=28753

The 4 runs of blue are the positive front to back and the 4 runs of silver are ground/negative front to back connecting the rear batts with the front batt

And yea, 2 pieces of copper would do it, just measure your batts and make the two pieces a bit longer than they need to be to connect the batteries' terminals laying up against eachother..

my batts are kinda shapped weird...i dont think i could get all four connected like that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif even tho thats a awesome idea....the terminals are kinda...like lower than other parts of the batter so i couldnt do a bunch connected...? wait heres a link with pics of my batts

Yes, I do that with 4 runs back to the front for grounding...and you would ground everything in the rear of the car to the run(s) going to the front batt's negative
You are supposed to ground in the rear too on the same frame rail I thought? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

You mean also grounding in the rear on the chassis? in my situation i dont but i guess you could with just doing a single run back to the front...im just pretty positive in my case nothing would want to ground through my crappy chassis...pretty sure the 4 runs of 1/0 gauge would take it all

youre overthinking a bit...just a 'path of least resistance' situation where the run back to the front should be better but people sometimes do both a run(s) back to the front and also ground to the chassis just because

Thats not a problem, you can cut off pieces of the copper you order and use them as spacers ontop of the terminals to bring them upto/above the other parts
well besides it looking a ton better is there any real benefit to the busbar?

see cuz i was going to put them in a box side by side along my back seat...

box will be like 4.5" wide and 29.5" long...get what im saying?

Better connection imo having a solid copper bar connecting your batts rather than a handful of connections through wire...and very convenient wiring up your amps just having two terminals and not having to disconnect bettery terminals to get stuff on the batts..

Did you see a voltage gain when doing this?
just check out the world record holders' setups in street classes for db drag...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif I would say yes, especially if you go with 2+ 1/0 gauge runs back to the front you would see a very nice improvement...my voltage is fantastic and a big part of that are my 8 runs front to back.

Do you ever sit on your hand, till it goes numb... and then **********? It's called a stranger.
It doesn't actually work, I've tried. Who said that? dave cook?

And get a copper pipe from home depot, crush it flat and drill holes in it.

be careful of the positive end of the battery. If this touches anything metal, and that metal touches the chassis, your car catches fire.

I'd cover it if I were you.

If theyre going to be side by side then you can still do it fairly easily...just have to have a piece of copper sticking out slightly forwards for one of the polarities...then the other polarity would have to have a piece of copper going back on each battery then a larger piece connecting them all.

But in all honesty you may want to just use wire between all of the batts...unless youre experienced with metalwork, tapping, etc.

Not really...yes, if you just let it sit there and short circuit but if you just get a little arc while installing its no biggy....just dont have your positive terminals near your sheet metal etc, thats all (and have your batteries secured well)

I've always matched the same amount of grounds up front. Off the rear batteries to the rear of the chassis. Also if I ground my amps to the batteries I make sure to have the same amount of grounds going in, going to the frame off the batteries.
